The Creative Bead & Proceed Epic is an SDG workshop that combines knowledge, creativity and gets people out of their comfortzone. Perfect for corporates, schools, universities or organisations keen to understand the goals, connect with them personally and come away with something to anchor the learning. This is a three hour full facilitated workshop that consists of three parts:

  • High energy presentation - here Bead & Proceed founder (Bridget Williams) delivers a 40 minute presentation that outlines the history of the SDGs, unpacks the 169 targets, explains how the goals are measured, how we’re tracking as a nation and examples of companies aligning to the SDGs. It’s an engaging presentation that brings everyone up to speed on the goals and she can tailor it to the SDGs relevant to your business or organisation.

  • Bead & Proceed activity - each team member makes a 5-beaded necklace, bracelet or keyring that represents the top 5 SDGs they want to work on personally. While painting, the team open up about the SDGs they care about and come up with creative solutions to action the goals in their daily lives and workplace. The painting fosters a safe space to have authentic and rich discussion about the biggest issues of today while brainstorming ways for the team to make impact towards the SDGs.

  • SDG Report - throughout the workshop, Bridget collects the learnings, ideas, discussion points and combines this into a report for the business (and this can link nicely to the work you’ve already done around the goals). She also tallies up the team members’ SDGs and calculates the overall top 5 SDGs and identifies the business' SDG strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. The report also provides valuable insight to employees’ values and engagement as the organisation begins its SDG journey - bringing the whole team along.

The benefit of this option is the rich discussion you get while painting and the opportunity to get people outside of their comfort zone and the fun team building element. The act of making and painting puts everyone into an open mindset and the necklace, bracelet and keyring is a way to anchor the learning and serves as a physical reminder of everyone’s personal commitment and a conversation starter to help spread SDG awareness. Also, for every Bead & Proceed Kit purchased, another is donated to either a low decile school or a deserving community organisation.

The Collaborative Bead & Proceed Epic is an SDG workshop that brings people together to discuss the SDGs relevant to their business or organisations and implement effective ways to action the goals. This is a three hour full facilitated workshop, where Bridget comes prepared with an understanding of what your organisation does and begins the SDG alignment process so you can authentic SDG impact. This workshop is well suited to committees, board members, or smaller teams that want to get to the apex of strategically aligning and reporting against the goals. This is also a three part workshop that includes:

  • High energy presentation - here Bead & Proceed founder (Bridget Williams) delivers a 40 minute presentation that outlines the history of the SDGs, unpacks the 169 targets, explains how the goals are measured, how we’re tracking as a nation and examples of companies aligning to the SDGs. It’s an engaging presentation that brings everyone up to speed on the goals and she can tailor it to the SDGs relevant to your business or organisation.

  • The SDG Impact Spectrum - here, Bridget gets the team to each place the SDGs on a spectrum of impact relating to the work they do. She also includes a worksheet for each team member to fill out individually, asking them to think about the SDGs most important to them and brainstorm projects or initiatives they could do in their daily life.
